COVID-19 POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
 MASK MANDATE
Per the Office of the Texas Governor’s recent order attempt to slow the spread of COVID-19, the HighRidge Church leadership is asking that everyone above the age of nine (9) wear a mask while inside the church building. The only exception will be those serving as teachers and helpers in HighRidge Kids for ages 5 and younger. If you do not have a mask to wear, we will have some available for you.

Thank you for your understanding as we do our best to navigate these confusing times while trying to ensure everyone’s safety. Remember, we are still streaming an online worship experience for those who are not comfortable with being in a group setting or wearing a face mask.

 HIGHRIDGE KIDS POLICIES
We are taking extra steps to keep our HighRidge Kids area safe and fun for your family. Here are answers to some questions you might have:

What can I expect at check-in?
We will have a Wellness Checkpoint located in our coffee area near the HighRidge Kids check-in counter. We will be asking every HighRidge Kids staff member, volunteer, and child to have their temperature taken before checking in to HighRidge Kids. Our volunteers will also be checking each person out visually and asking health-related questions. For more details, click here. Once you are cleared at that checkpoint, you may proceed to the check-in counter. There will be HighRidge Kids volunteers assisting you at the check-in counter to create a touchless experience.

How are you cleaning the HighRidge Kids area?
We have increased hygiene and cleaning protocols in our HighRidge Kids spaces before, during, and after each service. We will also be taking breaks during our class time to clean your children’s hands with safe, age-appropriate cleaning products. For more information about these products, click here. We will wear gloves when we serve snacks and water in our classrooms.

How can I help?
Make sure that you and your children use hand sanitizer or wash your hands before entering HighRidge Kids. To limit traffic, we ask that you only send one parent into HighRidge Kids for drop-off and pick-up.

 GENERAL POLICIES
Below you will find details as well as precautions that we will be taking in accordance with guidelines laid out by the Office of the Texas Governor. These are temporary measures, and we will do everything we can to protect you:

  • To comply with recommendations laid out by the Office of the Texas Governor to operate at 50% room capacity, we will cap attendance for each service at 100 attendees.
  • Because of this, registration is required, and seating will be on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Coffee and donuts will not be served.
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at various locations around the building.
  • We will offer online sermon notes and communication cards instead of paper handouts.
  • Dream Team members (greeters, ushers, etc.) will wear masks and take extra safety precautions as they serve you.
  • You are also welcome to wear a mask, but masks will not be required.
  • For your additional safety, our staff will clean and sanitize before and after each service.

Here are a few ways you can help us during the re-opening process:

  • If you or a household member does not feel well, please stay home.
  • Follow social distancing guidelines as you deem appropriate.
  • Wash your hands frequently.
  • After the service is over, please exit our campus promptly so we can clean and sanitize between services.

As Pastor Tim announced in the video, we are moving into Phase Two of our Re-Opening plan—this Sunday, May 24th, we will open our Worship Center for two On-Campus Watch Parties at 9:00am and 11:00am!

Over the last 10 weeks, we have worked to provide an online worship experience and opportunities to continue connecting with one another through our virtual small groups, HighRidge Tribes. We are excited to take the next step toward full opening by hosting On-Campus Watch Parties.

We will stream the same worship experience online via Facebook, YouTube, and our website at 9:00am (10:30am for our Deaf/HoH community) so that those who are unable to join us on campus can still participate from their own home or from a home-based Watch Party.

  • If you or a household member does not feel well, please stay home.
  • Follow social distancing guidelines as you deem appropriate.

This week, our team got to serve at Longview Community Ministries, loading boxes of food into vehicles for their food drive. We were also able to provide families with rent and groceries again, and meet other practical needs. Lastly, Roma’s Italian Kitchen reached out to us as they wanted to bless multiple families within the church with some delicious pizza. (Remember to support local!) We absolutely love our community, and we are thankful for ways that we can serve right where we are. Let us know if you’d like to be a part!  OUTREACH UPDATE
Last Friday, a couple of our team members showed up and surprised Longview Community Ministries by mowing their property and raking and bagging all their leaves. A couple more of our volunteers have been spending time at LCM organizing their food pantry and helping out in various ways. We delivered groceries to our seniors again this week, and we have received several anonymous gifts for those in need! We are looking forward to finding more ways to take care of our church family and bless our local community.  OUTREACH UPDATE
In response to the COVID-19 crisis, we’ve launched HighRidgeCare for volunteer church members who want to help the elderly and others. The group is on standby to shop groceries and errands for our elderly members who request it. This past week, the group helped one of our seniors at HighRidge change residence (using masks and gloves as a precaution) as well as purchasing and delivering groceries for some church families in need. Our outreach team has also been able to help with requests from Hwy 80 Rescue Mission and NewGate Mission in the last two weeks. Finally, we partnered with other UNITE churches to promote a local blood drive for the American Red Cross. Please continue to pray for us as we find even more ways to bring help and hope to those in our church community and beyond. March 13, 2020 Update

HighRidge Family,

At the recommendation of the local government, school boards, and the state health department, our Longview campus will not be gathering in-person for services on Sunday, March 15th.

Instead, we invite you to join us from home for a live-streamed service this Sunday at 9:00am as Pastor Tim shares a timely word from the Fort Worth campus. You can watch online at highridgechurch.com/live. (The recorded video can be viewed online any time after that.)

Future on-campus Sunday service gatherings will be determined on a weekly basis. We will continue to monitor the situation and adjust accordingly.

From Pastor Tim: “I believe in responding to any crisis with wisdom where our culture reacts in fear. We are not people of fear; we are people of faith. Let’s remember Who is in charge and pray together in faith, believing God for a miraculous move of His power. Know that I love you all and am proud to stand with you during this difficult time.”

March 12, 2020 Statement

HighRidge Family,

With the heightened awareness and public concerns regarding the spread of the Coronavirus (COVID-19), as well as the ongoing seasonal flu and cold activity, we want to assure you that public health and safety concerns are our highest priority. We are listening closely to public health officials and will provide updates regarding any changes to HighRidge Church services, as needed.

In line with Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendations, we encourage those who don’t feel well to stay home. HighRidge Church will live-stream services for the upcoming weeks so that you may enjoy worship services in your home if you are ill. Look for these live-steams on our social media platforms (Facebook and Instagram).

For those attending services on-campus, we will be greeting you at the door with a big smile and warm greeting, minus the handshakes. In services, we will ask that you greet your friends and neighbors the same, saving high fives, hugs and handshakes for another day. Thank you for your understanding! We are intentional about providing clean environments for people to meet and worship God. We are increasing the frequency of our cleaning protocols, and wiping down shared surfaces (doorknobs, countertops, faucets etc…) between services and in our Kid’s Ministry. Additionally, we will clean our children’s hands with anti-bacterial wipes before entering classrooms, and sanitize toys, tables and surfaces in the children’s areas between services.

As always, make use of the hand sanitizer dispensers located in several areas around campus.

Continue to pray for those affected, for healing and protection, for our leaders, for our nation and the world. Remember that our hope and faith are in the Lord. We do not need to be afraid, but keep using wisdom and continue faithing forward as we walk through this challenge.
