Year I Joined HighRidge: I’ve been at HIghRidge Church since the beginning.

Family: Husband (Tim), bonus son (TJ), bonus daughter (Natalie)

My Salvation Story: I prayed with my daddy when I was six years old and I remember God’s peace and complete love and forgiveness washing over me. As I grew older, I allowed many fears and insecurities to take over my life. When I was in high school, God began to drive those fears from me and has been teaching me how to rely on God and trust Him ever since. I’m so grateful for His unconditional love that drives out fear and insecurities. God has never given up on me and I’m so grateful!!!

Education: High School – Lifestyle Christian School
College – University of Mary Hardin-Baylor
Major: Elementary Education
Minor: History
Previous Line of Work: Elementary School teacher (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 5th, 6th, Special Ed, and ESL) for 19 years

Best Thing Someone’s Said to Me: “Will you marry me?” It’s so cheesy, I know, but I waited a long time for the man of my dreams and when he proposed to me, it was awesome!!!

Life Motto: When you can’t find the sunshine, be the sunshine.

Two People I’d Like to Meet: Tammy Hodges and Bobbie Houston

My Heroes (Besides Jesus): My husband. My parents.

One of My Greatest Experiences with God: My family and I were on a mission trip to Nicaragua. My husband was about to get up and preach the last night of the town crusade when a wave of illness overcame him. After providing everything that he needed, medicine-wise and facility-wise, my husband asked God to give him ten minutes to rest and recover. Literally, as soon as Tim said it, God caused the power for the entire town to go out. The power stayed off for ten minutes and then came back on and the rest of the service was amazing. Hundreds were saved that night! What a powerful and amazing God we serve!!!

Most People Don’t Know This About Me: I made first team all state my senior year in high school.

One of the Things I Find Most Fascinating: How God brought our family to Longview and has given us all such a big love for this city and the people in it! Even TJ and Natalie love this city and are so glad we came. What a gift it is to be used by God!!!
